What is this website about? 

Northumbria Healthcare is committed to providing a new £25million hospital at the existing Berwick Infirmary site.

 

The new facility will improve the integration of health services and will deliver joined-up care for local people. We held  engagement sessions earlier this year with staff, governors, stakeholders and the public, however, the plans have developed since this time.

 

We are now inviting the public and stakeholders to view more detailed proposals including the latest plans and elevations for the scheme which provide a clearer picture of how the hospital will look when built.
 

Who we are

We manage hospital, community health services and adult social care services in Northumberland and hospital and community health services in North Tyneside.

 

We deliver care to around half a million people, covering over 2,500 square miles and one of the largest geographic and most rural areas of any NHS organisation in England.

 

Within Northumberland, this includes the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital at Cramlington, Wansbeck and Hexham general hospitals, community hospitals at Berwick, Alnwick, Rothbury, Blyth and Haltwhistle, an outpatient facility at Morpeth and multiple community sites.
